  • Richtech Robotics and Microsoft jointly enhanced the ADAM robot bartender with vision, voice, and reasoning using Azure AI.
  • New features enable ADAM to adapt to real-world conditions and notify staff of issues before service disruptions occur.

Richtech Robotics is working with Microsoft’s AI Co-Innovation Labs to bring adaptive intelligence to its robot bartender, ADAM. The update adds cloud-based AI from Azure to support vision, voice interaction, and real-time decision-making in physical spaces, giving ADAM more context as it interacts with customers.

“Our collaboration with Microsoft reflects a shared focus on applying advanced AI to practical, real-world use cases,” said Wayne Huang, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Richtech Robotics, in a press release. “By working closely with the Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Labs, our teams were able to jointly develop and deploy intelligent capabilities that strengthen reliability, enhance customer interactions, and support scalable automation across physical environments.”

ADAM can now pull in environmental signals, like time of day, weather, and promotions, to adjust its behavior in real-time. It uses this context to personalize customer interactions, apply vision-based models that keep speed and quality steady during peak periods, and trigger alerts about ingredient or equipment issues before they disrupt service.

Richtree is using ADAM as a starting point as it plans to apply the same AI layer across other robots in its portfolio and across a range of physical environments, including logistics, hospitality, manufacturing, and other operational settings.
