RayNeo X3 Pro AR Glasses Launch Globally
- RayNeo has launched its flagship X3 Pro AR glasses globally on December 17, following their earlier debut in October of this year.
- The glasses deliver true AR with dual-camera spatial sensing and support AI features like live translation and note-taking.
RayNeo is making its X3 Pro augmented reality glasses available worldwide on December 17. First unveiled in October of this year, the X3 Pro is a pair of smartglasses featuring a binocular full-color see-through display with dual cameras for spatial AR.
Built on the Snapdragon AR1 platform, the 76-gram device features what RayNeo calls "the world’s smallest full-color MicroLED optical engine," co-developed with Applied Materials. Its dual-eye, high-contrast virtual display has a peak brightness of 6,000 nits and offers a 30° field of view. They can be controlled via multiple interaction modes, including dual touchpads, voice commands, and hand tracking.
To deliver true AR, it supports dual-camera spatial sensing (RGB and monochrome), enabling SLAM, which allows digital content to be placed in the real world around you. It runs Google Gemini AI 2.5 with support for downloading ChatGPT and supports AI-enabled features, including live translation.
The X3 Pro runs RayNeoOS 2.0, which includes an Android Virtual Environment for accessing popular apps like TikTok and Instagram, along with support for sideloading additional Android apps. RayNeo is providing developers with robust tools for Unity and Android ARDK to foster an expansive open AR ecosystem. The X3 Pro is now available in the U.S. and key global markets for $1,299 USD.
🌀 Tom’s Take:
True AR glasses with full-color, binocular displays are still rare in the consumer market. The category is slowly emerging, with products like Snap’s next-gen Spectacles expected next year, and RayNeo X3 Pro available today.
