Mudra Link is a neural wristband developed by Wearable Devices that enables touchless control of devices, including smartglasses, using subtle wrist gestures. The company has announced two new updates to the Mudra Link application designed to simplify setup and deliver a consistent gesture experience across smartglasses brands. The update adds customizable control presets and on-device functionality for select smartglasses.

The customizable presets give users immediate access to common smartglasses functions, such as back, home, play/pause, and volume, by linking them to specific wrist gestures. These presets are ready to use out of the box but can also be modified to match individual preferences. In addition to the default layouts, users can create custom gesture mappings for other connected devices and assign gestures to trigger their preferred functions.

The Mudra Link application now runs directly on select smartglasses, allowing users to pair their Mudra device, complete onboarding, adjust settings, and access gesture mapping entirely within the headset, without needing a phone or PC. According to the company’s website, Mudra Link currently works with the XREAL Beam Pro and the VITURE Neckband and Neckband Pro. The new capabilities will begin rolling out in the first quarter of 2026, and the company says additional smartglasses models will be supported throughout the year.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

EMG is one of the most precise and unobtrusive input methods available, and Mudra is making a strong push to bring that power into the hands of more users by integrating directly with major smart-glasses platforms. Going wide on compatibility could make Mudra the default input layer for the entire category.
