M-XR Secures $7M to Advance Photorealistic 3D Asset Generation

M-XR has raised an additional $7 million in capital, with backing from investors including Horizons Ventures, Epic Games, FOV Ventures, and several individual contributors. The company will use the funds to grow its team and enhance its production capabilities.

The company’s material capture software, Marso, generates thousands of physically based rendering (PBR) datasets. This output supports ongoing research into asset tooling for professional workflows and large-scale 3D world construction.

Since the start of 2025, M-XR has nearly doubled in size and is actively hiring across research and engineering roles focused on computer vision, graphics, and AI. New releases are in development as the company scales its capabilities.
