Day 2 of TED 2025 featured live demonstrations of new robotics and extended reality developments. Roboticist Bernt Børnich brought NEO, a humanoid robot built for home tasks, to the stage. The presentation showed that such machines are nearing readiness for everyday use.

In another session, Shahram Izadi, vice president of engineering at Google, discussed Android XR. He described how the system runs on smart glasses and headsets designed to process spoken commands and deliver instant feedback.

These talks directly examined how each technology functions today, focusing on its current design and operation.
