  • New system combines a timing platform with computer vision to track the whole customer journey in real time.
  • Helps cut missed orders, reduce delays, and speed up service without replacing existing equipment.

HME Hospitality & Specialty Communications has introduced Nitro Vision AI, which adds computer vision to its drive-thru timing system. The combined setup gives restaurants a live view of each customer’s path, from when a vehicle enters the line to when the order is handed over.

The system is designed to reduce missed orders, delays, streamline workflows, and improve service quality across the drive-thru. That means fewer long waits and smoother visits for customers and faster, more efficient service for businesses.

"Nitro Vision AI delivers exactly what operators need—smarter technology to enhance the customer experience," says Scott Mullica, Senior Director of Product Management and Innovation at HME, in a press release. "It provides data-driven insights to optimize your drive-thru by revealing bottlenecks that impact service speed, customer satisfaction, and ultimately, sales."

Nitro Vision AI is an add-on to setups already using HME’s ZOOM Nitro Timer platform, so restaurants don’t need to overhaul their systems to reap the benefits. With clearer insights and quicker responses, it aims to improve the drive-thru experience for everyone.
