Acute Debuts Scalable CMS and Vision Pro App for Immersive Video

- Acute has launched a full-stack CMS platform for managing and streaming 180/360° video content at scale.
- The company also released Acute Pro, a native Apple Vision Pro app for immersive video production workflows.
Acute, a San Francisco-based startup, has introduced a new platform to simplify the delivery and collaboration of immersive video. The SaaS offering provides hosting, encoding, and streaming for 180/360° video content and tools for private sharing and feedback. Rights holders can use Acute’s white label apps or integrate their front ends using the public API.
The platform supports post-production collaboration, internal review, and distribution workflows across sectors such as entertainment, enterprise training, and cultural experiences. Features include scalable hosting, automatic encoding for Apple Vision Pro compatibility, and secure streaming with unlisted sharing and synchronized comments.
Alongside the CMS, Acute launched Acute Pro for Apple Vision Pro. This native app allows professional teams to review immersive video directly in the headset, share unlisted footage, and sync time-coded comments. As part of its roadmap across the XR ecosystem, Acute plans to expand beyond Apple Vision Pro.
🌀 Tom’s Take:
Immersive video is a major use case for all three big players in the mixed reality headset space, and therefore, a growing demand for content. This will require new tools to create, manage, and test. This is exactly the gap Acute is identifying.
