zSpace and The Glimpse Group have released the Medical Assisting Skills Virtual Trainer, a new immersive software aimed at expanding healthcare training access. The launch is part of a strategic partnership aimed at addressing the national shortage of healthcare workers through scalable virtual instruction.

The application is intended for Nursing and Allied Health training and gives students the opportunity to strengthen their skills, improve accuracy, and progress more quickly. It offers hands-on practice for 33 core clinical and administrative procedures, such as phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs, and injections, in a virtual setting, aiming to reduce both cost and risk. The program meets Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) standards and supports both in-person and distance learning environments.

The application is now available to schools, technical centers, and higher education institutions across the U.S. Interested programs can request a personalized demonstration.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Virtual training that’s safer, repeatable, and scalable offers a practical solution to long-standing challenges in healthcare education. It allows students to build skills at their own pace while easing pressure on physical resources.
