  • Zipline has surpassed 2 million commercial deliveries and raised over $600 million in new funding.
  • The company will begin autonomous delivery operations in Houston and Phoenix in early 2026.

Zipline has raised more than $600 million in funding, pushing its valuation to $7.6 billion. The round included both existing and new investors, among them Fidelity, Baillie Gifford, Valor Equity Partners, and Tiger Global. The company says that the money will go toward expanding Zipline’s autonomous delivery service into at least four more states this year, starting with launches in Houston and Phoenix.

“Autonomous logistics has been maturing for more than a decade, and the last year has made it unmistakably clear that when deliveries are faster, cleaner, safer, and cheaper, demand isn’t just high, it grows exponentially,” said Keller Cliffton, CEO and co-founder of Zipline, in an official news release. “In 2026 autonomous logistics will become an everyday staple for people across several states in the U.S. That transformation starts with Houston and my home town of Phoenix, which we’ll begin serving early this year, and then expand to even more places across the country throughout the year.”

The company reports that it has now completed over 2 million commercial deliveries. U.S. demand is climbing fast, with delivery volume growing roughly 15% week over week for the past seven months. Zipline says that new locations are scaling quickly, pointing to Dallas, which took 10 weeks to hit 100 deliveries per day, versus more recent launches that reached that mark in just two days.

Zipline reports that its aircraft have flown more than 125 million autonomous miles and delivered upwards of 20 million items. The company has recorded no serious injuries across its operations. Zipline drones are being used to deliver items across food, retail, and healthcare sectors, with median flight times around three minutes and orders arriving in as little as 10.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

The funding gives Zipline the capital to expand faster and scale operations in more U.S. cities.
