  • Xpanner has released the X1 Kit, a Physical AI-based system that automates construction tasks using existing machinery.
  • The kit is now commercially available after early use by customers and focuses on high-precision tasks like pile driving.

Xpanner has officially released the X1 Kit, its flagship product that adds automation to construction equipment by combining real-time sensing, machine control, and task-level coordination. The company says X1 can help address labor shortages, safety hazards, and inefficiencies by turning existing machinery into smart, automated systems. It works across different brands and models without requiring new equipment.

The kit includes both hardware and software components that manage machine control, environmental sensing, and jobsite coordination. Mango controls the machine with high precision. M2 reads the environment and sends real-time instructions. A central software platform manages everything from integration to remote updates. The system is already used for pile driving and supports smart attachments, remote operation, and precision guidance.

Xpanner gave early access to current customers and reports that X1 cut labor needs by 80 percent and operation time by 50 percent during recent deployments. The kit is now available for commercial use and will expand to more equipment types in upcoming updates.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Retrofitting legacy machines with modular AI is a practical path into spatial computing. This approach lowers the barrier for industries to automate without starting from scratch.
