WeRide has launched its Robotaxi booking service on WeChat, allowing users to hail autonomous vehicles directly through the app’s "WeRide Go" Mini Program. The service is now available in Guangzhou’s Huangpu district and Beijing’s Yizhuang district. WeChat is one of China's most widely used digital platforms, with over a billion users.

By integrating with WeChat, WeRide aims to make its Robotaxi service more accessible to the platform’s massive user base. The company notes that the WeChat launch improves accessibility and strengthens user familiarity with its technology.

WeRide operates more than 1,000 Robotaxis globally, with fully driverless operations in Guangzhou, Beijing, and Abu Dhabi. WeRide says launching on WeChat will help more people try its service, increase ride numbers, and support its long-term goal of scaling Robotaxi operations.
