Waymo Adds YouTube Music to Autonomous Ride Experience

Riders with YouTube Music Premium or YouTube Premium can now stream their own music during Waymo trips.
The update follows Spotify’s recent launch on the platform.

Waymo has added YouTube Music to its in-car entertainment options. Riders with a YouTube Music Premium or YouTube Premium account can now connect through the Waymo app and listen during autonomous rides.

Music can be controlled using the in-car screen or the Waymo app, including options to play, pause, skip tracks, and adjust audio settings. If Autoplay is on, music will start automatically. Accounts stay connected for future rides unless manually disconnected.

This launch comes shortly after Waymo added support for Spotify, expanding its list of music partners to include YouTube Music, Spotify, and iHeartRadio.
