Vuzix Gains $5M Investment Toward Waveguide Scale-Up

• Quanta Computer has added $5 million to its strategic investment in Vuzix, bringing the total to $15 million.

Vuzix announced receiving a $5 million investment from Quanta Computer, marking the second installment of a $20 million strategic funding agreement. The initial $10 million tranche was completed in September 2024 to support waveguide production and joint AR/AI smart glasses development.

The new capital will be used to expand Vuzix’s waveguide manufacturing facility, which aims to enable the scalable production of lightweight, high-performance smart glasses. The investment also deepens the strategic alignment between Vuzix and Quanta Computer, which aims to further AR hardware innovation.
