  • VenHub has introduced self-diagnostic capabilities across its robotic systems to reduce downtime and maintain continuous store operations.
  • The update includes predictive monitoring that alerts service teams before components require maintenance or replacement.

VenHub, a Las Vegas–based company that designs and builds fully autonomous Smart Stores, announced a system-wide upgrade to its robotic infrastructure. The update equips every robotic component inside its automated retail hubs with self-diagnostic technology. The move is intended to strengthen reliability and ensure stores remain operational around the clock as the company expands into additional markets.

“Our growth strategy is built on technology that scales efficiently while also delivering consistent, 24/7 reliability for Smart Store operators and consumers,” said Shahan Ohanessian, CEO at VenHub, in a press release. “These enhancements strengthen the foundation of our platform, supporting retailers and partners with solutions designed to accelerate the availability of our future-read autonomous retail stores.”

The update applies to the core systems inside each store, including robotic arms, dynamic storage bins, and intelligent refrigeration units. Each component can now detect its own performance issues and deactivate for service without shutting down the entire location, allowing the rest of the store to continue operating. VenHub also introduced Smart Health Monitoring, which tracks motor and sensor performance in real time and alerts operators and the company’s service team when a part is approaching service or replacement, helping maintain uptime across the network.

VenHub runs fully automated stores that stay open all day and night, without staff on site. The locations rely on robotics and software to manage inventory, process purchases, and keep operations controlled and secure. As the company brings more stores online in major markets, the new self-diagnostic systems are intended to help prevent slowdowns and keep each location running consistently across the network.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Self-diagnosing hardware shifts these stores from reactive maintenance to built-in resilience, which is what actually makes 24/7 automation viable at network scale.
