  • UBTECH has started production and delivery of Walker S2 robots, with 500 units planned for 2025 and over 800 million yuan in total orders.
  • Production is set to scale to 5,000 units in 2026 and 10,000 in 2027, backed by real-world deployments across industrial sectors.

UBTECH has begun mass production and delivery of its full-size Walker S2 humanoid robots. The company aims to deliver 500 units by the end of 2025. They plan to ramp up capacity to 5,000 robots in 2026 and 10,000 in 2027. Total orders for the Walker series now exceed 800 million yuan, which the company says reflects rising demand across industrial sectors.

The company is moving away from standalone product shipments to delivering full operational systems. Each Walker S2 robot uses UBTECH’s BrainNet platform to speed up deployment and improve usability in industrial settings. It also runs on the company’s Co-Agent system, which gives the robot the ability to recognize intent, plan tasks, use tools, and respond to anomalies on its own. These systems enable the robot to work independently and are part of UBTECH’s broader turnkey model aimed at scaling real-world use.

UBTECH is collaborating with major industry players such as BYD, Geely Auto, Audi FAW, and Foxconn to accelerate real-world deployment and refine its robots through frontline use. Walker S2 units are already operating on automotive production lines and in logistics centers, generating task-specific data and performance feedback that support ongoing product improvement.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Hitting 500 units this year and scaling to 10,000 by 2027 only works if these robots deliver more than hardware. UBTECH’s shift to full deployment solutions is what makes those numbers possible.
