  • TVS Motor Company introduced an AR Heads-Up Display helmet in collaboration with Swiss startup Aegis Rider.
  • The system projects 3D navigation and displays hazard alerts and call notifications into the rider’s view.

At EICMA 2025, TVS Motor Company, known for producing vehicles like the Apache sport bikes, Ronin roadsters, and electric iQube scooters, revealed a new augmented reality helmet made with Swiss partner Aegis Rider. The helmet shows key riding information, such as navigation, alerts, and vital data, right in the rider’s view. It removes the need to look down, helping riders keep their eyes on the road.

According to the Aegis Rider website, the AR system uses spatial anchoring technology to fix visuals in the rider’s environment rather than following head movements. Riders can customize where and how much information appears, with two core modes including world-anchored 3D navigation arrows placed at turn points, and vehicle-anchored 2D HUDs that remain stable relative to the motorcycle. The helmet's design aims to help riders stay focused on the road by showing information like real-time navigation, hazard alerts, and call notifications without needing to look down at another device.

The helmet adds to TVS Motor’s push into safety gear and connected tech. The company has research centers in India, Singapore, Italy, and the UK, and sells its two- and three-wheelers in over 90 countries. This release reflects its effort to expand product options for riders in global markets.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Anchoring information based on where it’s needed just makes sense. Navigation arrows belong in the world, placed at turns. Other details stay locked to the bike, right where riders expect them.
