Tripo 3.0 Launches With New Features for Scalable 3D Creation

- Tripo debuts its most advanced 3D foundation model, adding precision texture control, segmentation, and multi-modal input to its AI-native platform.
- The update builds on 18 open-source projects, including TripoSR with Stability AI, and expands support for Unity, Blender, and Replit.
Tripo has released version 3.0 of its core 3D foundation model, bringing major upgrades in texture fidelity, part segmentation, and input flexibility. The model powers Tripo Studio, an AI-native platform for 3D content creation designed to accelerate production and reduce manual cleanup.
Tripo 3.0 runs on a 20-billion-parameter architecture, 20 times larger than before, with 300% improved detail accuracy. New features include pose and symmetry controls, multiview image input, and fine surface tuning. The release builds on more than 18 open-source projects, including TripoSR, developed with Stability AI, which generates 3D assets from a single image in 0.5 seconds.
The platform supports plugins for Unity, Blender, Replit, and other DCC tools, extending Tripo’s capabilities into widely used creator environments. Tripo Studio is now used by more than 3 million creators, 35,000 developers, and 700 enterprise customers, according to the company.
🌀 Tom’s Take:
Tripo’s focus on the ecosystem is key, not just making its foundation model stronger through open-source contributions, but making it usable through plugins that meet creators where they already work.
