  • Tobii introduces its most enterprise-ready wearable for capturing and replicating expert visual attention.
  • Designed for easy deployment across manufacturing, aviation, and automotive industries.

Tobii has launched Glasses X, a wearable designed to help businesses capture how people see and respond in real time. By tracking visual attention, the device supports better training, helps teams mirror expert behavior, and reduces mistakes in day-to-day operations.

“Companies are constantly looking for smarter ways to train teams and boost performance, but most tools fall short because they are too complex or not suited for real-world use,” said Gunnar Troili, Senior Vice President of Products & Solutions at Tobii, in the company's press release. “Glasses X is different. It’s intuitive and designed to deliver immediate value, whether you're on the factory floor, in the field, or anywhere performance matters.”

Targeting sectors such as manufacturing, aviation, and automotive, Glasses X supports roles in quality inspection, maintenance, and safety procedures. It is also designed for UX and wayfinding studies to evaluate how users navigate environments and interact with visual stimuli like signage and packaging.

Glasses X integrates with Tobii’s Glasses Explore platform, enabling teams to review attention data, compare workflows, and share insights across departments. Built on Tobii’s existing technology base, the product aims to deliver enterprise-ready eye tracking for practical, everyday use.

🌀 Tom's Take:

Glasses X demonstrates how the value of wearables can also be in gathering valuable data rather than just enhancing the user experience. Turning human attention into quantifiable insights creates a spatial layer of data that has the potential to transform how we train, work, and improve performance.
