Remix Reality ("we," "us," or "our") is an online media company specializing in spatial computing. We're committed to transparency, privacy, and clear communication, especially around our AI-assisted journalism.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Remix Reality provides:
- AI-assisted journalism and human-led editorial content about spatial computing;
- News articles (Reality Briefs), analysis, and commentary;
- Interactive multimedia content and newsletter services;
- RealityGPT - an interactive AI assistant available exclusively to paid subscribers;
- User community features and premium subscription services.
AI Content Disclosure and Transparency: In compliance with the EU AI Act Article 50 and global transparency requirements, we use artificial intelligence in two distinct ways:
1. AI-Assisted Editorial Content: We use AI tools to support various aspects of our editorial process, including grammar refinement, phrasing suggestions, idea generation, and fact-checking. All content is reviewed and approved by human editors prior to publication. For content that is generated or significantly assisted by AI models (such as Reality Briefs), we clearly label such content and apply a dedicated editorial workflow that includes checks for:
- Plagiarism and exact text matches;
- Improper inference and unauthorized use of external sources;
- Fact-checking and accuracy verification;
- Copyright compliance and proper attribution.
2. RealityGPT: An interactive AI assistant developed using OpenAI's technology via the Retune platform and fine-tuned on published Remix Reality content, available exclusively to paid subscribers.
Human Oversight: All AI-assisted content maintains meaningful human oversight in accordance with GDPR Article 22 and other regulatory requirements. No content is published without human editorial review and approval.
3. USER ACCOUNTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Account Creation and Responsibilities
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to create an account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You accept full responsibility for all activity under your account.
- You may not share your account access with others or impersonate another person.
- You must notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access or security breach.
- You may not attempt to access features or areas of the site you are not authorized to use.
Remix Reality reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or suspected abuse or misuse.
3.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:

- Create multiple accounts or impersonate others.
4. CONTENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on Remix Reality, whether human-written, AI-assisted, or third-party summarized, is provided for informational and editorial purposes only. It should not be relied upon as investment, legal, medical, or other professional advice.
While we strive for accuracy and clarity, we do not guarantee that any content is complete, reliable, or suitable for a specific purpose. We do not guarantee that AI-assisted content is complete, accurate, or fit for any specific purpose. All content is provided for informational and editorial use only.
4.2 Attribution & Sharing
You may quote or share brief excerpts from Remix Reality content with clear attribution and a link back to the original source.
4.3 No Republishing
You may not republish full articles, Reality Briefs, or other content in full without explicit written permission from Remix Reality.
4.4 Third-Party Content & Fair Use
We include summaries or quotes from third-party sources. Copyright remains with the original owners. Our usage is in accordance with U.S. fair use principles for commentary, education, and journalism. Attribution is always provided.
4.5 User-Generated Content
By submitting content (comments, feedback, etc.), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute such content in connection with our Services.
4.6 DMCA Compliance
We comply with the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe your copyright has been infringed, please email contact@remixreality.com with details. We will act promptly in accordance with the DMCA.
5. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Services, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
AI Data Processing Notice: When you interact with our AI-assisted features, your data may be processed by automated decision-making technologies subject to various privacy regulations, including GDPR Article 22 and California's proposed ADMT regulations. You have rights regarding such processing as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
6. REALITYGPT AND AI INTERACTIONS
6.1 RealityGPT Terms
RealityGPT is an interactive AI assistant available exclusively to paid subscribers. By using RealityGPT, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Your interactions are processed by third parties, specifically Retune and OpenAI, in accordance with their respective privacy and data handling policies.
- Remix Reality does not log or store your prompts or responses on our servers. However, some interactions may temporarily persist in your browser for user experience purposes (e.g., session continuity).
- The responses you receive are AI-generated and may not be accurate, complete, or reflect the views of Remix Reality.
- You should not submit sensitive personal information (e.g., passwords, health, or financial data) through the chat interface.
6.2 Responsible Use and Transparency
If you use RealityGPT, you agree to:
- Use the tool responsibly and at your own discretion.
- Understand that responses are AI-generated, informational only, and may contain inaccuracies.
- Not rely on responses as professional advice.
- Avoid submitting sensitive personal data through the interface.
In compliance with EU AI Act transparency requirements, RealityGPT clearly identifies itself as an AI system and informs users that they are interacting with artificial intelligence.
RealityGPT access may be restricted or revoked in cases of misuse. Use of the tool is also governed by the OpenAI Privacy Policy and Retune Terms of Use.

8. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS
8.1 Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled.
- Prices are subject to change with notice.
- All premium subscription sign-ups require explicit agreement to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy at the time of checkout.
8.2 Payment Processing
Payments for subscriptions are securely processed by Stripe. Remix Reality does not store your full credit card or billing information. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe and processed in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
8.3 Refund Policy (Multi-Jurisdictional Compliance)
- EU/UK residents: 14-day cooling-off period as required by Consumer Rights Directive.
- All users: Pro-rated refunds for cancelled annual subscriptions.
- Service availability: Full refund if service is unavailable for more than 24 hours.
9. EMAIL & SUBSCRIPTIONS
By subscribing to our newsletter or premium content, you agree to receive email communications from Remix Reality. These may include:
- Editorial content and updates
- Product or feature announcements.
- Sponsored messages or promotional content from select partners.
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in the footer of any email. If you have a Remix Reality account, you can also manage your email preferences directly in your Account Settings when signed in.
Newsletter sign-up forms on the site imply consent to receive emails and agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not provide your email address.
We track email open and click rates to help us understand what content is most useful to our readers and to improve future communications. This tracking is limited to engagement data and does not include sensitive personal information.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

We reserve the right in our sole discretion to remove content, restrict access, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or disrupt Remix Reality's editorial integrity or user experience.
12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any legal disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco, California, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
