Cellid used CES 2026 to showcase its HJ1 AI Smart Glasses, a working prototype built with Foxconn partners Jorjin Technologies and GIS. The company says the collaboration is helping accelerate the shift from the “experimental stage” to the “real-world adoption phase” for AR eyewear.

Plastic Waveguide Innovation Drives Development of Everyday AR Glasses in Japan

Cellid Inc. has announced a joint development initiative with software company jig.jp and eyewear designer Boston Club to produce AR glasses optimized for daily wear. The product will incorporate Cellid’s proprietary plastic waveguides, the only mass-produced model in Japan.
