  • Select Los Angeles Lakers games will stream live in Apple Immersive format on Vision Pro during the 2025–26 NBA season, with replays and highlights available on demand.
  • Games will be captured using Blackmagic Design’s URSA Cine Immersive Live camera and streamed through the NBA and Spectrum SportsNet apps.

Apple Vision Pro users will soon feel like they are courtside watching the Los Angeles Lakers as select games will stream live in Apple Immersive format during the upcoming NBA season.

The Lakers games will be captured using the URSA Cine Immersive Live camera from Blackmagic Design, a version of the camera launched earlier this year to capture Apple Immersive for Vision Pro. The games will be available through the NBA app and Charter’s new Spectrum SportsNet app for Vision Pro. The first immersive broadcast is scheduled to stream by early 2026. Users will also have access to full game replays and highlights one to three days after each game through both apps.

The Apple Immersive format lets Vision Pro users experience media as if they were right in the middle of it. This includes original series and films such as Adventure, Metallica, VIP: Yankee Stadium, and Tour De Force from CANAL+ and MotoGP. New titles from the Audi F1 team, Red Bull, and other global studios and brands are set to launch in the coming months.

Vision Pro users can keep watching traditional NBA broadcasts, both live and on demand, using the Spectrum TV and NBA apps. The NBA app also supports a multiview of up to five 2D games, real-time player and game stats, and a 3D tabletop mode for select matchups.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Sports and entertainment are clearly a major focus for Apple’s Vision Pro strategy, with Apple Immersive offering an experience that flat screens can’t replicate. This new format is built to show off what spatial media can do.
