Solos Expands AI Smart Glasses Platform with Multi-Model Support and New AI Integrations

- Solos introduced the AirGo A5 and AirGo V2 smart glasses with advanced AI features and improved media capabilities.
- The AirGo V2 features a slim 16MP camera, live video streaming, visual AI, and support for AI models like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
Solos debuted its next-generation smart glasses—AirGo A5 and AirGo V2—at the Smart Glasses Symposium 2025 in Hong Kong. Both models run on a modular platform using the company’s SmartHinge system, allowing users to swap the tech across different frame styles. The A5 is designed for voice-first interaction, while the V2 adds advanced camera and visual AI capabilities.
"With AirGo™ A5 and V2, we're not just introducing new features, we're changing the way people interact with AI in everyday life," said Kenneth Fan, co-founder of Solos, in an official press release. "These new generations reflect our vision for smart living, where wearable tech works quietly in the background to support your day, not disrupt it."
The AirGo A5 delivers voice-first AI support through wake-word activation and real-time responses from SolosChat. Users can manage everyday tasks like workouts, messages, or recipes with natural, follow-up conversations. The updated speakers keep sound more private and add stronger bass for better music, calls, and voice responses.
The AirGo V2 adds Solos’ most advanced visual AI yet, with a slim 16MP camera and Electronic Image Stabilization for clearer capture on the move. It supports live video streaming over low-power Wi-Fi and includes a swappable battery to extend recording time. With SolosChat 3.0, the V2 handles voice, image, video, and text inputs, and connects to AI models like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek.
Solos is working with select SDK partners to explore new AI-driven applications across accessibility, consumer technology, and healthcare. Initial collaborations include Envision, Deutsche Telekom, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, which is piloting speech therapy use cases.
🌀 Tom’s Take:
Solos started in 2019 as a spin-off from Kopin, a display tech company with a history in wearables. Since launching AirGo 3 in 2023, it’s steadily turned its modular smart glasses into a full AI platform. This latest release pushes things further, from basic voice control to advanced visual intelligence, and shows that AI isn’t just an add-on for smartglasses anymore; it’s becoming the main event.
