  • SoftBank led the round, joined by NVIDIA's NVentures, Bezos Expeditions, and strategic investors including Samsung, LG, and Salesforce Ventures.
  • The funding values Skild AI at over $14 billion and will accelerate deployment of its general-purpose robotics model across real-world applications.

Skild AI has raised $1.4 billion in a Series C round led by SoftBank, pushing its valuation beyond $14 billion. The raise included participation from NVentures (NVIDIA), Bezos Expeditions, Macquarie Capital, and returning investors such as Lightspeed, Felicis, Coatue, and Sequoia Capital. Strategic backers like Samsung, LG, Schneider, Salesforce Ventures, and others also joined the round.

Founded in 2023, Skild AI is building what it calls an “omni-bodied” robotics brain—a general-purpose model designed to control any robot, regardless of form factor or task. The company’s foundation model, the Skild Brain, is trained on a growing dataset from simulation, internet video, human teleoperation, and active deployments in fields such as security, delivery, and manufacturing.

The company says that the new funding will be used to expand all data sources feeding the Skild Brain and to advance core research in model design and real-world deployment. The company reports $30 million in revenue from its existing fleet and plans to scale further through economically viable applications across industries.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Skild is combining a general-purpose robotics model with early commercial traction. This raise gives it runway to scale further across deployments and data sources.
