Serve Robots Hit Atlanta Sidewalks as Nationwide Expansion Gains Speed

- Serve Robotics' autonomous delivery service is now active in central Atlanta through the Uber Eats app, with support from local restaurants and Shake Shack.
- The move marks progress toward Serve’s goal of deploying 2,000 delivery robots across the U.S. by year-end, following earlier rollouts in Los Angeles, Miami, and the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Serve Robotics has introduced its AI-powered delivery robots to Atlanta, further solidifying its partnership with Uber Eats and expanding into a fourth major U.S. metropolitan area. The company’s sidewalk robots are now delivering meals in Midtown, Old Fourth Ward, and Downtown Atlanta through the Uber Eats app.
“As one of the largest and fastest-growing markets in the Southeast, Atlanta is a strategic next step for our planned nationwide expansion,” said Dr. Ali Kashani, CEO and co-founder of Serve Robotics, in an official press release. “We are pleased to be one of the first robotics companies to enter the market and bring our friendly approach to robotic delivery.”
The deployment includes popular local restaurants such as RReal Tacos and Ponko Chicken, along with Shake Shack, which continues its national partnership with Serve. The rollout gives over 50,000 Atlantans access to on-demand robotic delivery.
“Bringing our highly successful partnership with Serve Robotics and Uber Eats to Atlanta is the natural next step in our engagement as we look for new ways for our fans to enjoy their favorite Shack classics in Atlanta,” said Steph So, Chief Growth Officer at Shake Shack, in an official press release.
Serve called the move a milestone in its plan to deploy 2,000 delivery robots across the U.S. by the end of 2025. Additional cities are expected to follow as part of the company’s ongoing expansion strategy with Uber Eats.

🌀 Tom’s Take:
Partnering with Uber Eats and Shake Shack is a strategic move for Serve Robotics, giving it immediate access to a broad national customer base. The value of that partnership is clearly on display with the Atlanta rollout, as Serve continues to scale its footprint in key urban markets.
