Serve Robotics Expands to Chicago with Uber Eats Delivery Robots

- Serve Robotics is now operating in 14 Chicago neighborhoods through its partnership with Uber Eats.
- The rollout brings autonomous food delivery to hundreds of thousands of local households.
Serve Robotics has launched its autonomous sidewalk delivery robots in Chicago. The move marks the company’s first entry into the Midwest and extends its national reach. Serve is partnering with Uber Eats to offer contactless delivery from over 100 restaurants across the city.
“Our ongoing partnership with Serve Robotics reflects our commitment to redefining the customer delivery experience,” said Megan Jensen, Head of Autonomous Delivery Operations at Uber Eats, in a press release. “By bringing autonomous delivery with Uber Eats to more neighborhoods, we’re making it easier than ever for customers to enjoy their favorites, whenever and wherever they want them.”
The service is now active in 14 neighborhoods, including Lakeview, Little Italy, Logan Square, and Uptown. Serve said Chicago’s pedestrian-friendly layout and food scene made it a strong fit. The company worked with local partners to prepare for the launch and aims to integrate seamlessly into the community.
Chicago is the latest step toward Serve’s goal of deploying 2,000 delivery robots across the U.S. by the end of 2025. The company already operates in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas–Fort Worth, and Atlanta.
