RoboSense Scales Global Supply of Digital LiDAR for Intelligent Vehicles

- RoboSense has entered mass production of EM, its full digital LiDAR platform for driver assistance and autonomous systems.
- The sensors are now being delivered at scale to major automakers across China, Japan, and Europe.
RoboSense has entered full-scale production of EM, its digital LiDAR platform. Its high-resolution sensors are now available to major global automakers. The move signals a shift from development to mass delivery for both driver assistance and autonomous vehicle systems.
The platform has secured design wins for 45 vehicle models across eight international carmakers. RoboSense sensors are being integrated into models from Geely, FAW Hongqi, and SAIC IM Motor, along with unnamed OEMs in Japan and Europe, including joint ventures with major global brands.
The EM platform is built for flexibility. A lower-beam configuration supports Level 2 driver assistance, while ultra-dense versions, customizable up to 2160 beams, enable perception for Level 3 and 4 autonomy. RoboSense’s in-house chip design underpins the performance, allowing long-range sensing with reduced power demands and high reliability.
🌀 Tom’s Take:
Customizable resolution means automakers can spec exactly what each model needs, from ADAS to autonomy. This ensures the sensing performance is aligned with the vehicle design instead of a one-size-fits-all approach.
