Reliance Jio unveiled its new AI smartglasses, JioFrames, during the 48th Annual General Meeting. The lightweight eyewear is designed as a hands-free device for capturing, communicating, and navigating everyday moments, with voice as the primary input.
JioFrames include onboard HD cameras, open-ear audio, hands-free calling, and instant live streaming. The device features Jio’s Voice AI, which supports multiple languages for real-time translation, and an AI assistant that can act as a fitness coach or answer all your questions.
Developed by Tesseract, a Jio Platforms subsidiary and MIT Media Lab spin-off, JioFrames are marketed as a device that can be used in all aspects of life, from work and travel to celebrations and study. While pricing and availability have not been announced, Jio is collecting registrations of interest through its website.
