RayNeo and Ant Group Partner on Voice-Activated AR Glasses Payments

- RayNeo’s X3 Pro AR glasses now support Alipay Tap! using QR codes and voice commands.
- The partners plan to extend AR glasses payment functionality to global markets and daily services via Alipay+.
RayNeo and Ant Group have partnered to launch payment features for AR glasses, starting with in-store use in China. The RayNeo X3 Pro is the first AR device to support both Alipay QR code scanning and Alipay Tap! terminal payments, allowing users to complete transactions by voice.
To use the feature, users link their AR glasses to their Alipay account and activate voice verification. At checkout, they speak a command—such as “RayNeo, pay 10 RMB”—to trigger the scan and confirm payment by voice. This system is backed by Alipay’s multidimensional risk-control framework to ensure only authorized users can complete transactions.
The capability will roll out to additional RayNeo models, including the V3 and V3 Slim, and expand globally via Alipay+. The companies plan to extend AR support to other daily services, including unlocking delivery lockers and paying utility bills.
🌀 Tom’s Take:
Embedding transactions into AR glasses shows how core digital behaviors are being reimagined for hands-free, real-world use. This feels like a real signpost for the post-smartphone future of commerce, where payments leave the screen and live in the world around us.
