  • Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Elite will power HARMAN’s Ready lineup for AI-driven in-car experiences.
  • The companies will also deliver a Central Compute platform using Snapdragon Ride Elite and Flex SoCs.

Qualcomm and HARMAN are working together on an in-car system that uses AI to improve safety and user experience. The system combines Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Elite platform with HARMAN’s Ready product line for intelligent in-cabin experiences. The companies say this approach will give automakers shorter development timelines, and drivers will see sharper graphics, stronger safety features, and more personalized in-car experiences.

"This technology collaboration with HARMAN represents a pivotal moment in automotive innovation," said Enrico Salvatori, Senior Vice President and President, Qualcomm Europe/MEA, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., in a press release. "Together, we’re bringing the power of AI to the cockpit, transforming how drivers and passengers interact with their vehicles."

The collaboration enables AI models for real-time ADAS visualization, along with emotion-aware interfaces and driver monitoring. HARMAN’s Ready products, such as QVUE for AR driving displays, Luna AI for natural interaction, and Ready Care for safety interventions, will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon compute to deliver these experiences.

In addition, Qualcomm and HARMAN are working on solutions for HARMAN’s Central Compute portfolio that use Snapdragon Ride Elite and Flex SoCs. This setup lets safety-critical ADAS functions and infotainment run in parallel on a single chip, while simplifying design and reducing power use.

The companies are targeting car manufacturers in Europe and China with these solutions and will showcase the technology at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Qualcomm has been pushing Snapdragon deeper into cockpits and ADAS for years. This deal with HARMAN reinforces that play with an AI upgrade.
