  • Pony.ai is partnering with Stellantis to build Level 4 self-driving vehicles, starting with light commercial vans.
  • Testing kicks off in Luxembourg using Peugeot e-Traveller vans, with more cities to follow in 2026.

Pony.ai is partnering with Stellantis to develop fully autonomous vehicles for Europe. The two companies will combine Pony.ai’s self-driving technology with Stellantis’ autonomous-ready platform, which is designed to support Level 4 capabilities.

Stellantis brings its Pro One commercial vehicle division and expertise in electric and safety-focused vehicle design. Pony.ai contributes its full-stack autonomous driving software and experience deploying robotaxi fleets in major cities. The collaboration pairs Stellantis’ automotive engineering with Pony.ai’s AI technology to create safe, scalable self-driving solutions for European roads.

Testing kicks off this year in Luxembourg using Peugeot e-Traveller vans, with more European cities to follow in 2026 as the rollout expands to light commercial vehicles and other mobility services.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Stellantis has the vans, Pony has the autonomy stack. This partnership gives both companies a shortcut to the European robotaxi market without going it alone.
