Point One Raises $35M to Expand Global Footprint of Precision Location Platform
- Series C funding led by Khosla Ventures will support hiring, international growth, and product development.
- Platform delivers real-time, centimeter-level accuracy for connected machines like vehicles, robots, and wearables.
Point One Navigation has raised $35 million in Series C funding to expand its precision location platform, which delivers centimeter-level accuracy for connected machines operating in the real world. Khosla Ventures led the round, joined by IA Ventures, UP Partners, and Alumni Ventures. The investment will go toward hiring, product improvements, and international growth.
The platform provides real-time, centimeter-level location data for connected hardware in the physical world, including vehicles, robots, farm machinery, and wearables. It calculates position by combining data from satellite signals, motion sensors, and other onboard inputs. Developers connect to the system through one API to manage devices and add precise location without needing to build their own infrastructure.
Since its last funding round, Point One has reported expanding its network across North America, Europe, and Asia and forming new partnerships to accelerate adoption. Strategic deals with Totem and Orange S.A. extended coverage in Europe, while long-term agreements with automotive, robotics, and equipment makers have pushed OEM adoption up tenfold over the past year.
🌀 Tom’s Take:
Point One is making precise location easier to use, giving developers a single system to add real-world positioning to robots, vehicles, and other connected devices.
