Perfect Corp’s WANNA Debuts AR Try-On for High Heels to Elevate Online Footwear Shopping

- WANNA introduces an immersive virtual try-on tool for high-heeled shoes, letting users assess heel height, color, and style compatibility in real time.
- The feature addresses technical challenges of high-heel visualization and offers multi-angle views for better purchase decisions.
Perfect Corp’s WANNA has introduced an augmented reality try-on feature specifically for high-heeled shoes. Available on both desktop and mobile, the feature covers a wide range of styles and helps users assess key factors like shape, height, and overall appearance—elements often unclear in standard product photos.
Placing high heels in AR is technically challenging because of foot angle and perspective. WANNA’s tool solves this by letting users clearly view color, heel height, material details, and style from multiple angles. Shopper feedback highlighted heel height as one of the hardest but most important aspects to evaluate online.
“At Perfect Corp., we continuously advance AR innovation to redefine the e-commerce and online retail experience. The launch of WANNA High-Heel Virtual Try-On marks a significant milestone in online fashion shopping, allowing consumers to confidently explore this footwear category, which was never possible before. This technology will empower online shoppers with an interactive, realistic way to assess their perfect pair of heels,” says Alice Chang, Perfect Corp. CEO, in an official press release.
The try-on supports multiple heel types, from stilettos to boots, with accurate height displays ranging from 7 to 9 centimeters. Users can view each shoe from side, rear, sole, and top-down angles to better judge fit and proportions. For best results, WANNA recommends trying them on barefoot or in socks. According to WANNA, early testing has shown strong user interest.
🌀 Tom’s Take:
It wasn’t long ago that simply detecting surfaces and faces for filters was a major challenge for mobile AR. AR has come a long way, and WANNA’s high heel feature proves it. Virtual try-on is a killer app for AR, and expanding its reach to more product types makes a stronger case for ROI across retail categories.
