Pearson Opens Innovation Hub for AI and Immersive Learning R&D

- Pearson has launched āPearson Labā to develop scalable learning solutions using generative AI and immersive technologies.

Pearson has announced the launch of Pearson Lab, a new research and innovation space located at its London headquarters. The Lab aims to speed up the creation of new educational tools that use emerging technologies for both schools and workplaces.
Chief Technology Officer Dave Treat will oversee the Lab, which will focus on generative AI and immersive learning. The team will develop and test prototypes alongside customers and partners, using their input to guide product development.

Pearson has entered innovation agreements with Meta for Education, Googleās Android XR, and VÅ« Technologies to support the Labās immersive learning agenda. These collaborations will provide access to XR hardware, development platforms, and immersive display systems to help the Lab team explore and co-develop new educational experiences.
