  • Orbbec released the Gemini 435Le stereo camera and Pulsar ME450 LiDAR for robotics, logistics, and automation use.
  • Both products are designed to deliver reliable 3D data for tasks like navigation, detection, and inspection.

Orbbec has launched two new 3D sensing products aimed at solving key challenges in robotics and automation. The Gemini 435Le stereo vision camera and Pulsar ME450 LiDAR are built to deliver reliable depth and perception data for tasks like navigation, object detection, and inspection in logistics, industrial, and autonomous systems.

The Pulsar ME450 is a LiDAR sensor that captures accurate 3D data up to 45 meters and supports multiple scanning patterns for tasks like navigation and mapping. The Gemini 435Le is a stereo camera that provides clear depth data using preset modes and works reliably in different lighting conditions. Both are built for industrial use, with durable designs and support for synchronized data across sensors.

Orbbec’s technology is already in use by top Japanese firms. One of Japan’s leading automotive manufacturers has integrated the Gemini 2 into hospital logistics robots. Hitachi Group uses Orbbec’s Femto Mega camera in its CO-URIBA system to enable hands-free shopping experiences. According to the company, Orbbec serves over 3,000 clients worldwide and commands more than 70% of China's service robot 3D vision market

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Orbbecs' new products are designed to make it easier for robotics companies to get reliable, flexible 3D sensing without needing custom setups.
