Nokia Introduces XR Radio Network Solution for Digital Twin Visualization

- Nokia has launched a new XR-based tool that enables mobile operators to view and manage digital versions of their radio networks.
- The system uses AR and VR to check performance, plan deployments, and sell guaranteed network services.
Nokia has released a new XR Radio Network solution. It gives operators a 3D view of their network using a digital twin, a virtual version of the real infrastructure. The goal is to help operators better understand how their network performs and find new ways to monetize it.
The tool combines AR, VR, and digital twins. AR displays network data at physical locations, VR enables remote exploration, and the digital twin ensures everything is up to date with real-time performance data. Operators can use it to simulate changes, check service levels, and plan where to place equipment like fixed wireless units. It was developed in collaboration with Immersal and Hexagon, who helped build the platform’s immersive visualization features.
This helps operators confirm the quality of service for things like drone flights, driverless cars, or emergency coverage. They can offer guarantees at specific places and times, track what happened, and prove it to customers. The result is more control, better service, and new ways to grow revenue from the existing network.

🌀 Tom’s Take:
Spatial computing lets us see what was once invisible, airwaves, signal paths, service gaps, and turn that visibility into better decisions, stronger accountability, and new ways to grow the business.
