  • Neolix closed a Series D round of over $600 million, led by StoneVenture and joined by CITIC Capital, Gaocheng Capital, and others.
  • The funding will support tech development, product rollout, and global expansion of its self-driving delivery vehicles.

Neolix has raised more than $600 million in Series D funding in what the company says is "the largest private fundraising in China's autonomous driving sector to date." The round was led by UAE-based StoneVenture, with participation from CITIC Capital, Gaocheng Capital, CDH, Yunqi Partners, and several others. Based in Beijing, Neolix builds L4 self-driving delivery vehicles, known as RoboVans. The company says it will use the new funding to boost R&D, develop new commercial products, and grow its presence overseas.

Neolix’s delivery vehicles are built to drive without pre-set maps and are made to handle daily road conditions in cities. The company’s X3 and X6 models have each surpassed 4,000 deliveries. Neolix is also expanding into fresh food, cold chain, supermarket, and urban freight use cases. Overall, its fleet has logged more than 50 million kilometers, and it now operates in more than 300 cities in China, with over 1,200 vehicles active in Qingdao alone.

Neolix uses a centralized dispatch system that brings together real-time data on vehicles, routes, and orders to help improve how the fleet performs. The company has also developed a vision-to-action foundational model, called Neolix-VA, which helps its vehicles interpret traffic conditions and make driving decisions in real time. It’s one of the first large-scale deployments of this kind of system in logistics.

Neolix has grown rapidly since its founding in 2018. Over the past two years, its delivery volumes have climbed more than tenfold each year. The company now accounts for more than 60% of all autonomous delivery vehicles ever shipped in China. It has a customer base of over 300,000 clients, ranging from major logistics companies to small businesses, including SF Express, JD Logistics, and China Post. Neolix has recently launched a subscription-based RoboVan service with Didi Freight for on-demand logistics. The company is preparing for deployments in the UAE, Japan, and South Korea to support future rollout.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

This raise is about turning momentum into scale based on the traction Neolix is already building. It’s a clear push to deliver on the company’s mission to “make autonomous vehicles accessible worldwide.”
