The Gen 2 model doubles the battery life to eight hours with typical use and features fast charging, which delivers 50% power in 20 minutes. It also brings 3K Ultra HD video recording with ultrawide HDR and up to 60 frames per second, with new hyperlapse and slow motion modes coming soon.

Conversation Focus, a new audio enhancement feature, uses the glasses’ open-ear speakers to highlight the voice of the person you're speaking with in noisy environments. It will roll out via software update to both Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta HSTN glasses. Meta is also expanding live translation to support German and Portuguese, making the device capable of handling six languages in total, with its previous capability of English, French, Italian, and Spanish.

Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) is available in three styles, Wayfarer, Skyler, and Headliner, and in popular colors, including three limited-time-only seasonal colors. The lineup also includes a Wayfarer Matte Transparent frame with two lens color options. The glasses are $379 USD and are available now, including in newly supported countries, Switzerland and the Netherlands, with Brazil, Mexico, and India to follow later this year.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

The world’s most popular AI glasses are getting even better. Battery and video upgrades matter, but the practical additions, like support for more translation languages and the new Conversation Focus for hearing better in noisy places, could be the real drivers of adoption.
