- The device blends holographic visuals with eye-tracking, camera, and mic input for real-time spatial interaction.
Razer has introduced the next phase of Project AVA, its desktop AI companion designed to support everyday life. First launched in 2025 as an screen-based esports coach, AVA has evolved into a holographic assistant with a personality and physical presence. The 2026 version adds spatial awareness, real-time interaction, and broader functionality beyond gaming, including planning, productivity, and daily tasks. Reservations are now open ahead of its commercial release.

Project AVA is built for contextual awareness, combining an HD camera, far-field microphones, and eye-tracking for seamless communication. The 5.5” animated hologram features natural movements, facial expressions, and lip sync, with avatars ranging from Razer characters like Kira and Zane to esports legends. An advanced learning engine remembers user preferences, allowing AVA to respond in real time with screen-aware strategy, productivity support, and everyday assistance.
Project AVA is expected to launch in the second half of 2026. U.S. customers can reserve a unit now on Razer’s website with a fully refundable $20 deposit. Avatar animations are still under development, and Razer notes that the system is currently built for Windows via direct USB-C connection.
🌀 Tom’s Take:
Razer is giving the AI assistant a physical form. Project AVA puts a holographic character on your desk, making digital help feel present, visible, and personal.
