MediView has earned its first CE mark, clearing its augmented reality technology for use in European healthcare. For the clinical augmented reality company, this certification gives it the approval it needs to bring its AR tools into clinical environments across the region. The company described the achievement as both a major step for MediView and image-guided procedures and the adoption of spatial computing technologies in healthcare.

MediView’s system displays multiple imaging sources as holograms in the clinician’s field of view, creating a clear 3D view of patient anatomy. This allows clinicians to see complex anatomy from different positions, making it easier to understand how structures relate to each other during a procedure. The system is designed to enhance procedural planning and execution by improving visual access, spatial orientation, and ergonomics. It also includes tools for remote collaboration, allowing off-site clinicians to participate in training, consultation, or live case support.
