  • LX1 delivers 10-hour runtime, rugged design, and hybrid voice-vision picking for warehouse operations.
  • The device integrates a 4K camera and a Qualcomm processor, and is set up to incorporate AI-enabled workflow tools for hands-free productivity.

Vuzix Corporation has introduced the LX1 smart glasses, a ruggedized, purpose-built solution designed for warehouse environments. Built for durability and comfort, the LX1 offers a 10-hour battery life, eliminating the need for hot swapping during shifts. The glasses will be manufactured by Quanta Computer, with production and general availability planned before year-end.

Equipped with a Sony OLED HD display, integrated voice control, and scanning capabilities, the LX1 enables workers to access pick lists, track orders, and manage shipments without disrupting workflows. Features such as visual scan confirmations, step-by-step guides, and multi-language text aim to improve onboarding and accuracy in loud or complex environments.

"Supply chain customers are looking for alternatives to their traditional pick-by-voice solutions. Driven by ongoing customer feedback, the operation of the LX1 is simple and fast, making it the ideal next generation picking device," said Paul Travers, President and CEO of Vuzix, in a press release. "Designed for hybrid voice and vision picking, the LX1 is ready to work with customers' current software or can seamlessly integrate into existing SAP systems with our Vuzix Mobilium solution."

The LX1 includes a 4K camera, Qualcomm processor, and Wi-Fi 6E support, and is designed to integrate AI directly into workflows for quality oversight, inspections, and knowledge transfer applications. Made for hybrid voice and vision picking, it can also integrate with existing warehouse software or Vuzix’s Mobilium solution. The device runs Android 15 and will receive annual OS updates, with SoC support planned through 2030.
