  • Reebok Smart Eyewear by Lucyd debuts with open-ear audio tuned for sports and urban environments.
  • Initial global rollout begins on Lucyd.co, with broader retail expansion and international distribution underway.

Lucyd, a brand developed by Innovative Eyewear, has launched a new collection of smart eyewear in collaboration with Reebok. The glasses, marketed as Reebok Smart Eyewear Powered by Lucyd, feature high-fidelity speakers, amplifiers, and equalizers specifically designed for active environments. They are intended to provide audio clarity while helping wearers stay aware of their surroundings during physical activity.

"We believe this launch represents a watershed moment for the entire smart eyewear category," said Harrison Gross, CEO of Innovative Eyewear, in the company's official press release. "We're pioneering the smart sport eyewear segment with AI-integrated eyewear that enhances athletic performance, while fulfilling our longstanding mission to deliver smart upgrades to every major type of eyewear: sunglasses, optical, sport, and safety."

The product is now available on Lucyd.co, with plans for expanded sales through Reebok.com and various online and traditional retailers later in the quarter. The first international distribution agreement is with MTB Mexico, a technology distributor that serves major retail outlets in Latin America. Innovative Eyewear states that additional partnerships with global distributors are planned, reflecting interest from numerous retail categories.

Micah Richards, a former professional footballer and current sports analyst, is a brand ambassador for the launch campaign. In the press release, he stated that what impressed him most about Reebok Smart Eyewear “isn’t just how good they look—it’s that I can stay connected without losing awareness of what’s happening around me.” He added that whether cycling, working out, or calling a match, the glasses help him remain in tune with his surroundings and digital life.

🌀 Tom's Take:

Pairing wearable tech with established style brands is becoming the go-to strategy, especially in connected eyewear. Lucyd and Reebok are leaning into that formula to normalize smart eyewear through culture, not tech.
