Loft Dynamics Debuts At-Home Pilot Training on Apple Vision Pro
- Loft Dynamics has partnered with Trifork to launch LoftHOME, an at-home spatial training kit for pilots using Apple Vision Pro.
- The system supports full procedure rehearsal and remote instruction, linking seamlessly with certified simulator programs.
Loft Dynamics has partnered with Trifork to launch LoftHOME, an at-home pilot training kit built for Apple Vision Pro. The system brings regulator-approved flight instruction out of the simulator bay and into pilots' everyday environments.
LoftHOME guides pilots through the full training process, from immersive cockpit familiarization and procedure rehearsal to simulator instruction and debriefing. It uses the same software and environments found in Loft Dynamics’ certified simulators and supports remote participation for both pilots and instructors. The system links remote rehearsal with simulator sessions that are approved by aviation regulators, creating a connected training ecosystem
“Our vision has always been to make the highest-quality pilot training safe and universally accessible,” said Fabi Riesen, founder and CEO of Loft Dynamics, in an official news release. “With Trifork, we’re bringing incredibly realistic, regulator-backed training into pilots’ everyday environments via Apple Vision Pro, from their living rooms to the airport gate. The goal isn’t just convenience; it’s continuity: a connected training ecosystem that links remote rehearsal with qualified simulator instruction, empowering pilots, instructors, and operators to train more often and more effectively. Trifork is the ideal partner to help scale this vision and deliver lasting impact across the aviation ecosystem.”
The companies are launching pilot programs with select airlines and training centers. They intend to expand their services to include training for aircraft transitions, multi-crew operations, and emergency procedures.
🌀 Tom’s Take:
Apple Vision Pro’s fidelity makes high-stakes simulation available outside of specialized facilities. With these devices available to the masses, it allows for immersive training to scale.
