Job Simulator Reaches 6 Million Installs as Owlchemy Celebrates 10 Years in VR

Owlchemy Labs is celebrating a decade of Job Simulator with more than 6 million installs, solidifying its status as one of VR’s earliest and most enduring hits. The game helped kick off the first wave of consumer VR and still ranks among the most-played, ten years on.
Its latest title, Dimensional Double Shift, has reportedly crossed 1 million downloads in just over a year since open beta. Players have collectively logged 2.5 million hours, played 6.1 million shifts, and completed 16.7 million orders in the game’s cooperative universe, according to Owlchemy.

CEO Andrew Eiche said the team’s focus on accessible, interactive design has carried through from Job Simulator to Dimensional Double Shift. “Seeing Job Simulator and Dimensional Double Shift hit these milestones together shows we’re still delivering on that desire,” he said.
