  • RealSense’s latest depth camera now works out-of-the-box with NVIDIA’s Jetson Thor, Isaac Sim, and Holoscan platforms.
  • The integration streamlines perception, sensor fusion, and simulation for faster development of AMRs and humanoids.

RealSense has launched a direct integration with NVIDIA’s full robotics platform, combining the new D555 depth camera with Jetson Thor, Isaac Sim, and Holoscan. The collaboration gives developers a fully native stack for perception, simulation, and real-time sensor fusion. It aims to accelerate the development of autonomous mobile robots and humanoids.

"This initiative cements RealSense’s role as the perception platform of choice for AMRs and humanoids," said Nadav Orbach, CEO of RealSense, in a press release. "By providing native integration and performance optimizations with NVIDIA Thor and Holoscan Sensor Bridge, we are accelerating the mainstream adoption of physical AI. Together, we are enabling the robotics industry to unlock the extraordinary potential of physical AI and drive the future of intelligent machines."

The D555 introduces a new vision processor with on-camera neural processing, Power over Ethernet, and support for ROS 2. It delivers depth and image data with a global shutter and IMU, ready for real-time streaming through Holoscan. NVIDIA’s Jetson Thor platform adds high-performance compute, while Isaac Sim enables rapid prototyping through simulation.

For RealSense, this integration positions the company as a foundational layer for physical AI. By embedding its tech into NVIDIA’s stack, it removes friction for developers and opens a faster path from prototype to production across next-gen robotics.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Where Jetson is the brain and RealSense is the eyes, this partnership brings AI fully into the physical world, ready to perceive, think, and move in real time.
