  • FORM’s upgraded coaching suite delivers tailored, in-goggle swim feedback based on each athlete’s goals and performance.
  • HeadCoach 2.0 uses data from millions of swims to offer expert-level insights after every pool session.

FORM has introduced HeadCoach 2.0, a major update to its smart swim coaching platform that integrates directly with the FORM App and augmented reality smart swim goggles. The new system provides swimmers and triathletes with actionable feedback after each session, including a focus area and execution guidance for their next swim.

“Delivering individualized coaching at scale is something that has never been possible in swimming,” said Brian Johns, Head of Coaching Science at FORM, NCCP Level 3 National Coach and 3-time Olympian, in an official news release. “A coach would literally need to film you, analyze that footage, and break down your stroke to provide this level of personalized feedback. With HeadCoach 2.0, we’re making that experience available instantly, powered by years of research, swimming expertise, and our revolutionary smart technology.”

The coaching suite analyzes performance metrics such as stroke rate, pace, and FORM Score, along with swim objectives, to surface the most important technique insight for each individual. After each session, swimmers get personalized feedback and a clear focus area for their next swim. That guidance appears directly in their goggles, keeping coaching visible during the workout.

HeadCoach 2.0 builds on FORM’s coaching science, refined through millions of swims and expert input from Olympic-level coaches. The company says HeadCoach 2.0 delivers personalized analysis and insights across all pool swims and is available now to FORM Premium subscribers for under $10 per month after a free trial.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

Sports training runs on data, and wearables with sensors are the best way to collect it. FORM shows how that data can drive coaching that’s timely, specific, and built into every swim.
