Editorial Policy
Last Updated: June 6, 2025
At Remix Reality, our mission is to explore the rise of spatial computing—the powerful convergence of physical AI, immersive interfaces, and emerging technologies shaping the next era of computing.
We’re committed to delivering accurate, insightful, and independent editorial coverage of the trends, people, and companies building the future of reality, where the digital meets the physical.
📰 Content Standards
- We cover spatial computing with editorial clarity, curiosity, and care.
- All content is reviewed and edited by our human editorial team before publication.
AI-Assisted Content
- AI-generated content is clearly labeled and transparently disclosed within the context of each piece.
- All AI-generated material is reviewed by a human editor for accuracy, tone, and relevance.
- Minor AI tools, such as Grammarly or similar assistants, may be used to support grammar, phrasing, or clarity. These do not require disclosure unless AI-generated content or structural assistance is involved.
Third-Party Attribution & Fair Use
- All third-party sources are clearly attributed.
- External content is used in alignment with U.S. fair use principles for reporting, commentary, or educational purposes.
- We aim to credit original reporting and use hyperlinks to direct sources when available. We avoid summarizing third-party work without attribution or context.
- Remix Reality attributes all information to original sources whenever possible. We only rely on anonymous sources when essential and independently verify such claims before publication.
Editorial Opinions & Analysis
- Opinion content is independently written and reviewed.
- Analysis reflects the views of the named author, informed by experience or research.
- Remix Reality does not publish AI-generated opinions or unsupervised automated analysis.
- Minor AI tools may assist with phrasing, grammar, or clarity, but all final decisions and content are human-authored.
Fact-Checking Standards
- Remix Reality fact-checks all news, briefs, and editorial content prior to publication.
- We rely on public records, direct sources, press materials, and reputable reporting to support the information we publish.
- Remix Reality does not tolerate plagiarism or the uncredited reuse of content. All contributors are expected to submit original work and clearly cite external sources when used. Any summaries or references must include proper attribution and fall within fair use guidelines.
🔐 Embargoes & NDAs
Remix Reality may agree to embargoes or sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to access information prior to public release. However, we maintain full editorial independence in all coverage.
- We do not agree to embargoes or NDAs for products or services already publicly available.
- We never promise positive coverage in exchange for early access.
- When under embargo, we honor the terms until the embargo lifts and clearly indicate that timing when relevant.
- Any content produced under NDA or embargo still undergoes our standard editorial process.
- We do not use AI systems to process or generate content based on embargoed or NDA-protected information, including Reality Briefs. All such content is handled exclusively by human editors.
🖋️ Editorial Tone
Remix Reality maintains a clear, concise, and forward-thinking editorial tone. We aim to inform and provoke thoughtful engagement without hype or sensationalism.
We value balance, context, and sourcing. We present developments in spatial computing in ways that are accessible, evidence-based, and respectful of the complexity and nuance involved.
🌍 Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
Remix Reality is committed to representing the diverse voices, perspectives, and communities shaping the future of spatial computing.
We actively seek to highlight creators, founders, researchers, and technologists from underrepresented backgrounds and strive to ensure inclusive representation across our editorial, interviews, and features.
We believe technology is not neutral, and that covering emerging systems means asking who builds them, who benefits from them, and who is left out.
Our editorial team applies this lens thoughtfully and consistently, and we welcome suggestions and feedback to help us do better.
🌟 Spotlights & Interviews
We feature founders, creators, and researchers shaping spatial computing through interviews and editorial profiles.
Inclusion is determined solely by editorial relevance and audience interest. Expert interviews and in-depth profiles may be available exclusively to paid subscribers.
All features are independently produced unless explicitly labeled as sponsored.
💼 Sponsored Content
We occasionally partner with companies or creators on sponsored articles, including product spotlights, Q&As, or custom editorial.
All sponsored content is:
- Clearly labeled as “Sponsored” or “Partner Content”
- Produced in collaboration with our editorial team
- Kept entirely separate from our independent editorial coverage
We do not accept compensation in exchange for coverage that is not explicitly labeled as sponsored.
🧠 Reality Briefs
Reality Briefs summarize product launches, press releases, and tech announcements using Remix Reality’s custom AI solution, powered by OpenAI and fine-tuned to our editorial standards.
Each Brief follows a consistent editorial workflow to ensure accuracy, originality, and alignment with our standards. Specifically, every Brief is:
- AI-generated and clearly labeled
- Reviewed, edited, and fact-checked by a human editor
- Checked for exact text matches, improper inference, plagiarism, and unauthorized use of external sources
Every Reality Brief is accompanied by Tom’s Take, authored by Tom Emrich, offering original analysis and commentary. Minor AI tools may be used to refine phrasing or clarity, but all insights remain Tom’s.
Reality Briefs are informational, not endorsements, and are designed to provide timely context and clarity around developments in spatial computing.
⚖️ Contributor Ethics & Disclosures
Tom’s Take is authored by Tom Emrich and appears at the end of each Reality Brief. Each piece reflects his independent opinion and editorial insight, as described in the sections above. These opinions do not influence the selection or framing of Reality Briefs, which are independently fact-checked by our editorial team.
Tom may hold financial interests in companies mentioned on Remix Reality, such as equity stakes or advisory roles. When those interests are material, they are clearly disclosed within the relevant content. His commentary is based solely on publicly available information and reflects his personal views.
Remix Reality is committed to editorial transparency and independence in all reporting and analysis.
📈 Editorial Research & Reports
Remix Reality publishes original research, including the Annual Trends Report, which is available exclusively to paid subscribers. Our editorial team independently produces these reports, which reflect ongoing analysis of spatial computing.
