DreamPark Launches Mixed Reality Theme Park on Seattle Waterfront

- DreamPark has opened a 25,000-square-foot immersive attraction at West Canal Yards, using XR overlays via Meta Quest headsets.
- The location transforms public space into a walkable, multiplayer adventure accessible to ages four and up.
DreamPark has debuted its largest mixed reality installation yet at West Canal Yards in Seattle. Starting July 19, visitors can enter a digitally enhanced, open-air adventure world powered by Meta Quest headsets, including a one-of-a-kind mixed reality racing experience.
Co-founded by Brent Bushnell, Aidan Wolf, and Kevin Habich, DreamPark builds downloadable theme parks that require no permanent construction. This new site joins earlier pop-ups in Santa Monica and at the LA County Fair, offering a walk-up experience for families, friends, and teams.
The launch follows DreamParkās recent $1.1 million seed round led by Long Journey Ventures. DreamParkās system turns ordinary places into interactive playgrounds, layering digital adventures over real-world settings using mobile phones or MR headsets.
š Tomās Take:
DreamPark is delivering on its mission to turn any location into a theme park using mixed reality. As commercial spaces sit vacant in many cities, MR experiences present a compelling opportunity to activate underused environments and, ironically, draw people back into the physical world.
