DigiLens Launches ARGO Next to Migrate HoloLens Users to ARGO Smartglasses
- DigiLens and Altoura launched ARGO Next to help companies move from HoloLens to ARGO smartglasses while keeping their Microsoft cloud infrastructure.
- The program supports AI-authored training, 3D collaboration, and real-time remote support to maintain XR continuity as HoloLens approaches end-of-life.
DigiLens introduced ARGO Next to help companies switch from Microsoft HoloLens to ARGO smartglasses while keeping their current Microsoft cloud systems in place. Built with Altoura, the program gives organizations a way to maintain their XR operations as older hardware is phased out.
"Microsoft pioneered an impressive frontline productivity transformation with HoloLens and their software solutions," said Jamie Fleming, Altoura CEO, in official press release. "At Altoura, we're excited to see DigiLens step forward with ARGO—bringing customers next-generation hardware that pairs seamlessly with Altoura Frontline to make the transition effortless. Together, we're ensuring that enterprises can continue to scale knowledge, empower their frontline workers, and accelerate productivity with future-ready technology."
ARGO Next helps businesses move from HoloLens or other XR devices to DigiLens ARGO smartglasses without disrupting daily work. It includes AI tools to quickly build training procedures, supports 3D collaboration, and runs on Altoura’s Frontline platform, which replaces Microsoft’s retired XR apps. Altoura’s software delivers step-by-step AR instructions and real-time remote support, helping teams reduce downtime and improve accuracy on the job.
Microsoft will stop supporting HoloLens 2 after December 31, 2027. ARGO Next gives companies a clear path forward, so they can keep using XR without starting over.
🌀 Tom’s Take:
With HoloLens heading toward end-of-life, ARGO Next gives enterprises an opportunity to protect past XR investments while laying a clear foundation for what’s next.
