Cognitive3D Brings Enterprise-Grade XR Analytics to the Browser

- New SDK enables detailed session tracking, gaze capture, and performance metrics for WebXR content.
- Compatible with Three.js, PlayCanvas, Wonderland Engine, and native WebXR for flexible integration.
Cognitive3D has launched a WebXR SDK that adds spatial analytics to immersive experiences on the web. It lets developers track user behavior in a 3D environment, such as where people look, how they move through scenes, and whether they complete spatial tasks.
The SDK works with a range of development environments, including Three.js, PlayCanvas, Wonderland Engine, and WebXR. It captures detailed session data such as gaze and fixation (when available), framerate, frame timing, memory usage, and custom interaction events. Developers can also upload scene meshes, track dynamic objects, and tag spatial elements to align analytics with 3D environments. Once a session ends, all data is sent to the Cognitive3D dashboard, where teams can generate heatmaps, replay user behavior, analyze performance, and segment insights by session, user, or variant.
By making spatial analytics available for browser-based XR, the SDK helps teams move beyond basic click or time-on-page metrics. Cognitive3D highlights use cases such as immersive training simulations that track learner navigation, web-based product showrooms measuring gaze on 3D models, and scientific or educational apps analyzing how users explore virtual content. Developers can also compare performance across devices, including mobile VR, desktop, and standalone headsets.
Looking ahead, Cognitive3D plans to introduce advanced features such as fixation clustering, spatial funnels, and offline-first support, alongside improved onboarding and tooling.
