  • Circus SE has delivered its CA-1 robot to Meta, marking the first real-world use of its autonomous meal system.
  • The robot runs on CircusOS and now includes Meta’s AI models for smarter, faster learning and automation.

Circus SE is launching its first CA-1 autonomous food robot at Meta’s office in Munich this October. This is the first time the company’s robot will be used in a real-world setting. A joint event with Meta will mark the official start of the rollout.

The CA-1 robot is designed to make meals with little human input, using real-time data to keep learning and improving. It runs on CircusOS, which now includes Meta’s AI models to boost the robot’s intelligence. This allows for better user interaction, more accurate supply and demand predictions, and smarter automation of tasks through operator AI agents. The system uses thousands of data points per meal to get more efficient over time.

"This relationship exemplifies how autonomous nutrition systems integrate seamlessly into high-performance work environments", said Nikolas Bullwinkel, CEO and Founder of Circus, in a press release. "Together, with Meta’s AI models, we are additionally unlocking next-level intelligence for agentic operations — deeply integrated into our robotic and AI ecosystem.”

After Meta, Circus will begin rolling out CA-1 robots to retail clients, starting with REWE in Germany later in October. This marks a major step in Circus’s plan to expand its food robotics into workplaces and retail spaces across Europe.

🌀 Tom’s Take:

This marks a major step forward for autonomous food prep, and a defining moment for Circus as it moves from concept to commercial use.
